I chose to make my logo my name because last unit I created a header for my channel but along with the header comes your name. Most youtubers have cool or memorable fonts for their name so i knew i had to spice up my font from last unit. I realized that my draft looks nothing like my sketch because I found a tutorial on how to add pictures in the text after i drew out my sketch.
I thought it would be really cute to add pictures that relate to me inside of my name. For the draft I found a tutorial on youtube on how to place an image inside the text you write. Since this is the rough draft I just chose the first thing that popped up in my head which was a picture of a field of sunflowers because that’s my favorite flower. Right now it looks pretty cool but it is hard to tell what I am trying to spell out so maybe I will try to make the text bigger and make my first and last name on two different lines instead of one. Even though I think it looks cute right now but I know it is pretty basic so that’s why I want to step it up a notch and try to make a collage of pictures of myself to insert inside of my name. It would be large and pretty much cover the whole header so it is pretty much a whole new logo for my youtube page. Maybe I will also try to make a shadow behind the text. The background color doesn’t really matter since my logo will eventually be taken off of this background and inserted on to my previous header.
I always have some much I want to do in my head but I have a hard time bringing it to life so hopefully I can actually create what I have in mind.

Hey! I really enjoy the idea behind your overall project. I wish I had the confidence to become a YouTuber of some kind. The style choice you made is freaking awesome. I have no idea how you did it, but it looks like a great header to a channel. I cant really tell if it is stencil font or not, but i think that font looks great. One thing that you might want to look at is the picture behind the font. I have a hard time reading your name. if you are able to come up with something that wasn’t so vibrant, I think this thing is great! I wonder if there is another picture with more neutral tones that you could use instead to make it easier to read. But all in all, great job!

I honestly have so much i want to change or fix with my logo. I first want to start with my background color bc i dont think its soft enough. I was think of more of a lighter color. I also need to change the pictures i used inside the letters of my name because right now it is kind of hard to read my name. I also want to find a cool bold bubble font to download that no one uses. I like where my logo is headed and i cannot wait to see the final look!

I really enjoy what you have created for this logo project using illustrator. I also like how you will most likely be using the things that you have created for your youtube channel. For your actual logo, I like how you added some color in it besides just the purple colored background. One thing that I suggest is added a white or black stroke around the letters of your name because to me it seems cluttered and hard to read. Other than that one suggestion, amazing job!

Hi Mikayla! I love the idea of your logo- shaping sunflower fields into your name! It’s a very cute idea and I like that you though outside of the box to research how to make you vision come to be. I like that you have found another use for this logo as well by using it as your YouTube header. I know you said the color does not matter but I think sine the letters are so busy it would be best if you used a plain white background. Another way to make this pop is to make a “border” around the letters and one way you can do this is by changing the stroke of your font but we also learned during the photoshop unit ho to make borders so I’m sure the tutorial will be very helpful if you don’t already remember how to do that. Overall, I love this idea and I can’t wait to see the changes you make to it!
