My main topic for the course is the process of creating a youtube channel. There are many steps involved in creating a channel but one of the most important things about your channel is your page. It will be what your subscribers or viewers will see when they click on your profile picture. The creativity of the header behind the profile picture can help draw more attention and curiosity to your page. My graphic design project will be the creation of my thumbnail/header for my youtube page.
My photo collection turned into a thumbnail/header for the youtube i will be creating throughout this course. On youtube, it is known for youtubers to have a header filled with a collage of cutouts of themselves. I have attempted that here as I have three cutouts of myself. After I placed all three photos next to each other, i I looked at it and decided that I am not a huge fan of two out of three photos so I will probably take new pictures to replace some for the final draft. The background I chose is a kind of like a champagne purple. I chose this background because one my favorite color is purple and two i thought the bubbles were a fun bob of action rather than just a plain color. The words in the background are important because it tells my viewers what content I will be mostly posting about. I put my name on there too so it can show that I created the image and it is all of my work and dedication put into this image.
All of the pictures except for the background are my selfies that I took myself so I have rights to them. The purple background picture came from Istock.com by getty images. It is a website that holds thousands of downloadable pictures for anyone.

I think for the type of graphic design project your trying to create, looks really good, especially for what it’s going to be used for. I like how you place key topics that will be discussed on your channel in your header photo. It gives the viewers a good idea of what they can see on your channel. I also like the colors and style of background you used. The pink really grabs your attention along with the light reflections in the back. A couple improvements to make would be adding a title and fixing up the cutouts. AS it is a header for a youtube channel, I think it’s important that the channel name is in the header. If you added that in with a different test style than the rest of the words it would look good. The cutouts are ok, the straight lines at the bottoms don’t look good. I think you should try blending the edges of the cutouts into the background so the photo has a little more flow to it. Overall it’s a good start and I think your channel header photo has a lot of potential.

I really like your topic because I really want to create a YouTube channel of my own one day. What I find strong about graphic design project is how your background isn’t plan and boring it’s really cute and I like how you have yourself on the header too, so people know it’s your channel. One suggestion of improvement I have is you could put some pics of the topics you want to talk about on there for example you could put makeup on there and some like artist you like to listen to for the music part and cute hairstyles you know how to do on there too. Another suggestion of improvement I have is you could put some cool effects on the pictures or text to give it a little more pop and for it to be a little bit more of an attention getter. Overall I really like your topic and can’t wait to see the outcome of your final project!

I think you did an excellent job with background selection and your text layers, It is plain to see that you have a really good theme going on with your youtube chanel header. I think the color selection is great. I think there are a couple of ways you could improve this image. First, I think you should pull the two images to the sides down to the
bottom corners. This way the edges of the image will hide the straight bottom edges of your profile photos. I think this would make the design look better because the staight edges look unprofessional. Second, I think you should put the name of your youtube channel somewhere on the photo. I think it would act as a good title for the whole project and really tie the whole thing together. Good luck and I am looking forward to seeing your final project.

I like how you are creating this specifically for your thumbnail for the youtube video you will be creating for this class. I also like how your background is not a solid plain color, it is cute and goes with your topic. I think that the images you have included show different hair styles which is the main purpose of the video. If you are going to change the photos, maybe try having someone take a picture of the back or side of your head to have various angles along with various styles. Overall, I think you have done a really great job!
